
Jessica Yun
Jisu (Jessica) Yun, 21, was born in South-Korea (Seoul) and has been living in New Zealand for more than 18 years now as a citizen. She is on her third-year of studying at the University of Auckland majoring in Classical Performance, flute by her mentor Uwe Grodd. Jisu has a musical family, her grandfather was in fact a famous conductor and her mother is exceeded to be a legendary pianist in Korea. By this influence, Jessica has started playing the flute at a young age and continuously been playing for 11 years now and has achieved many awards throughout her flute journey, she has been selected into the finals at the New Zealand Woodwind Competition, ATCL with distinction (2013), finalist for the National Chamber music contest “Schmitten” (2013-2014), and has also been selected as the finalist for the Graduation Gala Competition 2018 which will be performed in May.
